Umm hi I've been writing a story based around an insane crime lord and his daughter and it gets quite violent after a few weeks of my mum pestering me I read her an exract and she asked why couldn't I write normal things. Should I stop writing this?

Hello, dear anon~ ♥︎

Wait… can you hear that? It sounded like, a little jingle, like— YOU JUST UNLOCKED AN ACHIEVEMENT:

Nice! Congrats, little anon, everyone picks up this achievement eventually. You already got it, you must be a pro c;

Silliness aside. There’s no reason for you to worry. I’m going to tell you the secret to all parents in the world, okay? When parents disapprove of something you do, it’s often because they’re worried about what their peers will think of them. It’s either that, or they’re worried for your safety, but I think your mum was a little more worried about what the other ladies at the crochet club would think of her if her child was writing such violent things. Really, it hardly has anything to do with you. Parents are dumb like that.

Also, just to remind you. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with you writing that sort of stories at your age (hell, that story idea sounds pretty cool if you ask me). And, I mean, Stephen King was writing horror stories when he was 13 and he turned out to be a pretty cool dude.

Keep writing, little Anon. The ladies at the crochet club may not read your book, but I would~ c;
